Since our Thesis Topic is about Eco Tourism in Maragondon, last Tuesday we decided to go there to observe and “experience” Eco Tourism in that place. But first things first: Maragondon is a looooooooooooong (2 hours ride, I think) from our school which costs 40 pesos. Then from Naic, you need to ride a tricycle up to the Maragondon Town Proper for 20 pesos. :)
Beneath the Dambana ng Kagitingan is the Longest Zipline.. in Luzon! Private Vehicles aren’t allowed on the way to the zip line road so you need to pay for their own shuttle. Before, we wondered why. But upon seeing the way up, we finally got it.
See that cross? That’s Dambana ng Kagitingan!
A 35 minute drive from Limay is the ever famous Mt. Samat and ton top of it is the lovely Dambana ng Kagitingan. It’s my second time to visit this place (First was wayback in highschool, field trip) and it’s still one of my favorite places in the whole world. For the entrance, 10.00 for kids and 20.00 for adults.
Diva’s In-Land Pool is just a 30-Minute Drive up-hill from the House (At Limay, Bataan). We rented the largest cottage with Karaoke for only 500.00! Dirt Cheap. Plus the entrance is only around 20.00. Cool right? What’s cool about the place is it has lots of nearby resorts.. It’s cheap because the water is free flowing, fresh from the water stream of the mountains, and it has no chlorine. They change the water everyday. :)
